Description
Maryland Environmental Service is soliciting competitive sealed bids for minor upgrades at the Dorsey Run Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work includes replacing the sewage screen and associated piping, valves, supports, catwalk, and trash chute; retrofitting the lime silo conveyance system with new mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, instrumentation, and control components; replacing the lime-system PLC and operator interface; and installing associated conduits, wiring, controls, and electrical equipment. The project also includes demolition and removal of existing equipment and utilities, concrete and site restoration, testing, commissioning, operator training, maintenance of plant operations during construction, and project closeout documentation. The contract requires completion within 240 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A 20% Minority Business Enterprise subcontract participation goal applies. For base bids exceeding $100,000, a bid bond of at least 5% is required; successful contracts exceeding $100,000 also require performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract value. Addendum No. 2 requires bidders to acknowledge receipt of the addendum on the Bid Form.
