Description
The City of Salisbury is soliciting bids for the furnishing and site delivery of chlorine, hydrofluorosilicic acid, 25% sodium hydroxide, 12% sodium hypochlorite, drinking-water-grade hydrated lime, and 38%–42% ferric chloride solution. The contract includes estimated quantities, bulk and packaged deliveries, transfer into City storage systems, compatible unloading equipment, safety and hazardous-material handling, certificates of analysis and safety data sheets, and compliance with specified AWWA, ANSI/NSF, pollutant, and product-quality requirements. Vendors must be able to deliver within 48 hours of notification, provide advance shipping notices, and meet specified delivery, driver-training, CDL, hazardous-material endorsement, and personal-protective-equipment requirements. The initial contract term is 12 months from award, with a three-month transition extension and four potential one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Bidders may bid on one, any, or all chemical items. The bid requires the City's supplied forms, three similar-contract references completed within the last two years, a typical ferric chloride analysis, and electronic submission through the City's procurement portal.
