Description
South Dakota State University Athletics is soliciting air charter services for up to six men's basketball trips during the 2026–2027 season. Proposed aircraft must provide at least 24 seats, accommodate basketball team equipment and baggage, and meet the specified departure schedules and flexibility requirements. Possible trips include round-trip and one-way segments between Brookings or Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and destinations in Idaho, Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Nevada, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Vendors must provide aircraft details, seating configuration, availability verification, pricing for each selected trip, fuel-cost formulas, payment terms, schedule-change costs, and a contingency plan for equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances. The completed RFP and pricing sheet are required, along with a carrier verification letter, three client references for team travel, and a contingency plan of operation. Proposals may cover all or selected trips. SDSU anticipates awarding on a trip-by-trip basis, selecting one option for each chosen trip, and may award to one vendor or multiple vendors. The selected vendor must provide aviation liability insurance with a $250,000,000 per-occurrence limit and name the specified state and university entities as additional insureds.
