Description
Harris County is soliciting bids for reconstruction of approximately 5,500 linear feet of Bourgeois Road, including removal of the existing asphalt roadway and drainage structures; installation of 10-inch reinforced concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, a three-lane section with a two-way left-turn lane, and a boulevard section with a raised median; and widening of an existing concrete bridge over HCFCD Ditch Unit P149-00-00. The project also includes construction of a detention pond, concrete storm sewer pipes and boxes, drainage structures, waterline modifications, traffic control, pavement markings, signs, tree protection, cleanup, and modifications or installation of traffic signals at Cutten Road and Hollister Road. The contract time is 540 calendar days. The bid package requires online submission through Bonfire and includes an estimated contract value, bid guaranty in the form of a 5% bid bond or cashier's check, bid acknowledgement, tax residence certification, Form 1295, proof of insurance, contractor and reference questionnaires, bid tables, the M/WBE utilization plan and supporting documentation, Harris County minimum wage certification, safety questionnaires, and other required certifications. Contractors must comply with prevailing-wage requirements, Harris County's minimum wage policy, workers' compensation and other insurance requirements, performance and payment bonding requirements, M/WBE participation requirements, and extensive worksite safety and stormwater controls.
