Description
The City of Whitefish seeks independent contractors to provide on-call snow and ice removal from sidewalks and other areas as directed on public rights-of-way during the 2026–2027 winter season. Work includes furnishing labor, equipment, and materials; applying de-icer only when directed; and providing pet-safe, environmentally friendly ice-melt materials. Contractors must begin work within 24 hours of receiving a snow-removal order, document each service with date- and time-stamped before-and-after photographs, and email the photographs to the designated City contact by the end of the business day. Invoices are due within seven days of completing work at each property. Proposals must include the company name, submission date, agreement to the contract requirements, a show-up or first-service charge, hourly rate, ice-melt rate, and any other charges. Contractors must hold a valid City of Whitefish business registration and provide proof of the specified commercial general liability coverage, naming the City as an additional insured. The City intends to select one primary contractor and up to two alternates.
