The City of Vancouver intends to extend the contract with Watari Counselling & Support Services Society for the provision of operator services. These services will maintain a culturally and gender safe drop-in space and wellness centre located at 320 Alexander St. in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. The contract extension is necessary to ensure the continuity and consistency of these vital services. The term of the extension is from April 1, 2026, to October 1, 2026. The City of Vancouver reserves the option to further extend or terminate the services based on operational requirements and funding availability. The estimated value of this contract extension is approximately $1,182,000 CAD.
