Description
The City of Hialeah is soliciting a contractor to remove existing laminate and ceramic floor tile, thin-set, and baseboards; dispose of debris; prepare the substrate, including self-leveling compound if needed; and install approximately 13,652 square feet of specified Adessi Coastal Mist Gray Matte Porcelain Tile. The scope includes furniture movement, tile delivery, setting materials, 1/8-inch grout lines, metal transitions, finishing and sealing, permits, inspections, site protection, cleanup, and compliance with applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. Bathroom wall tiles are excluded, and the City will reimburse the exact documented tile invoice cost without markup; bidders must price the labor and related services separately. The contractor must provide a detailed work schedule and complete the project within 30 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A one-year installation warranty is required. Bidders must demonstrate relevant licensing, at least two years of substantially similar experience, three completed similar contracts or an allowed alternative, and three references. Responses require numerous completed and notarized affidavits and certifications, capacity and experience information, project records, and pricing. A bid bond is required when the bid exceeds $100,000, with an original hard copy due before the solicitation closes; performance and payment bonds are required after award when the contract exceeds $200,000.
