Description
The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee is seeking a contractor to perform Category 5 testing of hydraulic and traction elevators in accordance with ASME A17.1 and Wisconsin SPS 318 codes, along with as-needed time-and-materials maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, parts procurement, component installation, software upgrades, and related elevator services. Work includes furnishing labor, tools, test instruments, materials, and equipment, with testing documentation submitted to Wisconsin inspectors and the University representative. The bid also includes a one-time winter 2026–27 project to supply and install 18 elevator ropes across three elevators, as well as as-needed rope replacements over the contract term for nine elevators. Services are primarily for UWM Housing residence halls but may be used by the main campus and satellite locations. The contract is intended to run for three years with two automatic one-year renewals, followed by possible month-to-month continuation until a replacement contract is established.
