Description
The University of Alabama is soliciting prequalification submissions from general contractors and prime demolition contractors for the 431 Reed Street Property Improvements project. Contractors already listed on the University's Prequalification Master List are exempt from prequalification; eligible firms may alternatively request a waiver based on prior University of Alabama prequalification or successful performance on similar projects. Prequalification submissions or waiver requests must be submitted through the University's prequalification platform by the stated deadline. Plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available for examination and printing beginning September 14, 2026. Up to two full-size sets may be obtained from the architect/engineer upon payment of a $150 refundable deposit per set. Bidders must meet Alabama contractor licensing requirements and display their current license number on the outside of the sealed proposal envelope.
