Description
Bergen County is soliciting bids for renovation of the Spring House for Women, including demolition and reconstruction of kitchen and dining areas, new partitions and finishes, cabinetry and food-service equipment, dumbwaiter installation, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, sprinkler, fire-suppression, and related building work. The plans identify commercial kitchen equipment such as a gas range, range hood, sinks, sanitizer, refrigerators, heated cabinet, and dumbwaiter, along with associated utility connections and life-safety systems. The project has a 180-calendar-day completion requirement and includes a $100,000 contingency allowance. Required submission materials include the bid form, statutory and vendor disclosures, labor acknowledgement, business registration certificate, vendor information form, general terms and conditions, prevailing-wage/public-works certification, subcontractor questionnaire, federal debarment form, bid bond, and consent of surety. The bid bond is 10% of the total bid, capped at $20,000; the consent of surety must confirm a performance bond for the full bid amount. The solicitation is a Bergen County set-aside contract under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-41 et seq. and Ordinance No. 18-26. An RFI response identifies Rob Carroll as the contact for site access or a possible additional site visit.
