NASA's Wallops Flight Facility is conducting market research regarding the potential development of advanced payload processing facilities on approximately 15 acres at the north end of Wallops Island, Virginia. NASA intends to retain ownership of the land and may lease parcels to commercial companies for the development, operation, and maintenance of facilities supporting high-throughput payload integration, testing, and processing for mega-constellation missions. Responses must describe the proposed project concept and concept of operations, land and footprint requirements, infrastructure and utility needs, operational profile, safety and security considerations, and relevant experience constructing, operating, and maintaining payload processing infrastructure of similar scale or complexity. This is an RFI for planning purposes only, not a solicitation for a contract or commitment to award, and responses are limited to ten pages in PDF format.
