Description
The Town seeks a sole contractor for regularly scheduled pupil transportation to district and out-of-district schools, with service including vehicles, drivers, routing, equipment, and related operational support. The scope includes regular routes, field trips and athletic trips, and transportation for students with special needs, including vehicles equipped to accommodate wheelchairs. The contractor must provide and maintain the required buses, vans, lifts, routing systems, radios, GPS and inspection reporting, and onboard camera systems. The solicitation also requires a full-time dispatcher, spare buses, and ongoing route planning and maintenance. The initial contract period is July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2032, with possible annual extensions of up to five additional years by mutual agreement and at the Town’s discretion. The contractor must submit a completed and signed Invitation to Bid page, a completed compliance checklist, a vehicle equipment list, mileage records, bid surety if applicable, and pricing through the bid table. A performance bond is required from the awarded contractor; evidence that the bond can be obtained is required with the bid.
