Description
Southwest Parke Community School Corporation is soliciting bids for one or more student transportation routes for school years 2027–2028 through 2030–2031. Contractors must provide the labor, buses, equipment, supplies, and maintenance needed to transport students on the designated routes. Bidders may propose on individual routes or multiple routes, and each route requires a separate bid form. The contract may be for two or four years, beginning July 1, 2027, and ending June 30, 2031. Buses must meet specified capacity, age, safety, heating, lighting, camera, tire, first-aid, and other equipment requirements. Bids must identify the proposed bus and drivers and include driver qualifications and records, a CDL health certificate, a limited criminal history report, and a $100 certified check. Proof of insurance, a $20,000 performance bond, and route schedules are required from successful bidders after award or before service begins, not with the bid. The corporation expects to award contracts at its December 9, 2026, board meeting.
