Description
The Maryland Judiciary's Administrative Office of the Courts, on behalf of the District Court of Maryland, is soliciting bids for as-needed secure on-site and off-site destruction of confidential paper records and other designated materials throughout Maryland, including all 23 counties and Baltimore City. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, vehicles, secure collection containers, transportation, facilities, equipment, supplies, chain-of-custody controls, cross-cut shredding or equivalent secure destruction, recycling or disposal, and certificates of destruction. Services may be requested at any District Court courthouse, office, or other designated facility, with collections generally required within five business days of a service request. The contract is an indefinite-quantity arrangement with a three-year base period from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, plus two one-year renewal options at the Administrative Office of the Courts' discretion. Bidders must have at least three years of secure document-destruction experience and provide three distinct references from the past five years. The successful bidder must maintain current National Association of Information Destruction AAA certification and comply with confidentiality, security, background-check, insurance, and information-security requirements.
