Description
The City of Gardena Transportation Department (GTrans) is soliciting construction management and inspection services for its design-build Renewable Energy and Storage System Project. The project includes an approximately 555.1 kWDC solar canopy, a battery energy storage system, and electric-vehicle charging infrastructure. The selected consultant will serve as the City's independent construction management advisor and field representative. The scope includes mobilization and preconstruction, design and constructability review, project management, contract administration, schedule and cost control, submittal/RFI/change/claim administration, resident construction management, inspection, special and deputy inspections, materials testing, labor and environmental compliance, safety and transit-operations coordination, commissioning and utility interconnection/PTO coordination, punch-list management, and final closeout. The consultant must provide qualified personnel and demonstrate at least five similar renewable-energy, battery-storage, electric-vehicle-charging, or comparable public-works construction management and inspection projects completed within the last 15 years for transit or other government agencies. The proposal must include technical qualifications, key personnel, work plan, project schedule, references, required certifications and forms, and a separately submitted cost proposal.
