Description
Escambia County is requesting a written quote for the rehabilitation of an owner-occupied, single-family residence. The scope includes replacing and tying the septic system into the county sewer line, decommissioning and filling the septic tank, restoring disturbed landscaping, installing a matching HVAC system with ductwork and thermostat work, and installing R-38 blown fiberglass attic insulation with baffles as needed. The materials list and scope also cover potential residential repairs and replacements involving plumbing fixtures, kitchen and bathroom components, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, appliances, lighting, roofing, gutters, windows, electrical and drywall work, and related restoration. Contractors must provide labor, materials, tools, permits, insurance, and applicable inspections, use specified products or approved equivalents, and complete the work within 60 days. A mandatory on-site walk-through is required, and bids must be submitted electronically through the OpenGov portal. The solicitation requires supporting documentation including business registration, W-9, contractor licensure, and applicable insurance or a letter of insurability for new county contractors.
