Description
Colquitt County is soliciting sealed bids for the construction and erection of a 50-by-100-foot pre-engineered metal shop warehouse at the county maintenance shop. The building will include an insulated enclosed bay, an open bay with chain-link fencing and gates, a minimum six-inch concrete slab rated for forklift traffic and warehouse storage, steel framing, 26-gauge roof and siding, roll-up and personnel doors, gutters, downspouts, concrete aprons, flashing, and related site work. The contractor is responsible for materials, equipment, permits, utility locates, debris disposal, installation, and compliance with applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, OSHA requirements, and Georgia building requirements. Bidders must provide shop drawings and slab details with their bids, warranty information, proof of five previous projects of similar scope, and evidence of at least five years of experience installing metal building systems. The solicitation also requires licensing and insurance, workers' compensation coverage, E-Verify information, background-check clearance, and bid, performance, and payment bonds. The existing structure and slab will be removed by the owner; post-award submittals require approval before construction begins.
