Description
Lee County Board of Commissioners is soliciting sealed written bids from qualified, Georgia Department of Transportation-certified contractors for resurfacing Fussell Road from U.S. 82 to Palmyra Road, approximately 2.69 miles. Work includes roadway patching, widening, milling, leveling with OGI, a 12.5 mm asphalt overlay, tie-ins to existing roads and driveways, shoulder grading and grassing, traffic control, and related incidental work. The project also includes thermoplastic centerline, edge-line, stop-bar, hatching, and turn-arrow striping; raised pavement markers; transverse rumble strips; erosion control; utility coordination; and maintenance of traffic and project conditions through acceptance. The contractor must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation specifications, maintain safe traffic conditions, provide required immigration-work-authorization affidavits, and complete the work within 60 days after receiving the notice to proceed, subject to the stated weather-extension provisions. A 10% bid security is required at submission; performance and payment bonds, insurance documentation, and other award-stage items are required only after written notice of award.
