Description
The City of Albany is soliciting competitive sealed bids for approximately 150,000 pounds of polymer flocculant for its wastewater treatment plant. Bidders must provide pricing for delivery in bulk and in ten IBC containers; the polymer must be PT-1128 CT, IC-7268, or an equivalent product. Prices must remain firm for one year and include freight and delivery costs. The contract includes two additional one-year renewal options. Potential bidders proposing an alternative to the current polymer must complete a jar test using actual plant sludge and may be required to provide product for post-bid testing under actual operating conditions. Deliveries must include equipment for moving IBC totes from the trailer, and the plant is expected to transition from tote deliveries to bulk delivery during the contract period.
