Description
Jackson County seeks qualified providers for inmate food services at its facilities. The contractor must provide food, supplies, materials, and labor; prepare and deliver breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sack or boxed meals every day of the year; transport food between facilities; and provide nutritionally sound menus subject to jail administrator approval. The facilities average approximately 275 inmates daily combined, with stated maximum capacities of 205 and 257. The scope also includes staffing and supervision, security procedures, reporting and billing, a cash-handling website and kiosk system, customer service, and a preliminary transition plan. Respondents must provide per-meal pricing and complete the attached pricing sheet. The County intends to prequalify multiple contractors and may extend the resulting contract through a statewide cooperative program. The contract is for five years, continuing at the County's discretion based on satisfactory performance.
