Description
The Lansing Board of Water and Light seeks a consultant for surveying, base mapping, and design of replacement water mains at five street locations, including associated valves, hydrants, service connections, and abandonment of existing mains. The scope includes construction plans and estimates, utility and City coordination, permit application support, pavement coring and geotechnical reporting, traffic control, and construction engineering services such as inspection, surveying, materials-testing coordination, pay estimates, change-order review, and restoration oversight. The proposal must include task-based fees with a not-to-exceed amount and personnel hours, plus a statement of qualifications summarizing relevant water-main design projects completed in the past five years and assigned staff experience. The solicitation also requests safety data, at least three similar-work references, and information through required online bid attributes. Design and related tasks for Location 1 are due by February 9, 2027; construction engineering for that location is due by May 21, 2028.
