Description
The City of Bonners Ferry is offering approximately 597 MBF of timber for sale by sealed bid to the highest bidder. The sale includes approximately 585 MBF of Douglas-fir/western larch, 5 MBF of lodgepole pine and other species, and 7 MBF of ponderosa pine, with a total appraised stumpage value of $133,185. The purchaser must pay a $4.00 per MBF slash holdback fee. A $5,000 certified check, cashier's check, or bank money order bid bond must accompany the sealed bid. The successful bidder must post a total $10,000 performance bond at contract execution, with $5,000 satisfied by the bid bond, provide evidence of $2,000,000 broad-form loggers liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance, and remove and pay for all timber by November 20, 2027.
