Description
Saline Area Schools is requesting proposals for comprehensive replacement of the athletic entry doors at Saline High School. The work includes removal and disposal of existing interior and exterior doors, frames, transoms, thresholds, anchors, and related supports, followed by installation of replacement exterior, vestibule, and interior doors and frames. The project includes specified door hardware, continuous hinges, exit devices, cylinders, closers, automatic operators, actuators, power supplies, thresholds, door bottoms, weatherstripping, access-control interfaces, and tempered insulating glazing. The contractor must obtain the state building permit, confirm field measurements, coordinate selective demolition and protection of existing construction, and complete interior doors before exterior doors. Work is scheduled around the school and athletic calendar, with completion milestones extending from December 2026 through January 2027. A $10,000 building allowance is required, and a 5% bid security is due with the proposal; performance and payment bonds at 100% of the proposal are required after award when the proposal is $50,000 or more.
