Description
The City of Greer is seeking a contractor to convert the existing natural-grass foul-territory areas on two baseball fields at Country Club Road Park to athletic-grade, baseball-specific synthetic turf. The work includes excavation, grading, hauling and disposal, irrigation modifications, drainage evaluation and improvements as needed, engineered aggregate base construction, concrete or manufacturer-approved edging, turf anchoring, synthetic turf installation, permanent field markings, restoration of disturbed areas, and related labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, and incidentals. Proposers may bid on both fields under one contract or on either field individually, and must provide separate pricing for each field and a combined total. The proposed system must include product specifications, color samples, drainage information, warranties, and a layout drawing. The contractor must provide at least three comparable baseball or softball synthetic-turf installation references completed within the last five years, identify proposed subcontractors, and submit a construction approach, schedule, materials information, pricing proposal, and any deviations from the specifications. The project is intended to occur between notice to proceed and February 12, 2027. A minimum eight-year manufacturer warranty and two-year installation warranty are required. The proposal package must include the required vendor questionnaire responses and uploaded forms, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Agreement, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act Contractor Certification.
