Description
Spartanburg County is soliciting a contractor for a unit-price Tier 3 roadway reclamation project on Redland Road and Skunk Hollow Road. The work includes a 2-inch surface course, 10-inch cement-modified recycled base using Method B, milling existing asphalt, full-depth patching, driveway and intersection tie-ins, maintenance stone placement, shoulder and grass restoration as needed, and temporary and thermoplastic pavement markings. The contractor will be responsible for traffic control, utility coordination, mix design, grade and slope control, compaction and density requirements, public and emergency-service notifications, and daily temporary striping. Quantities are estimates for bidding, with final payment based on verified field quantities. The project is a unit-price contract and includes a one-year written warranty for materials and workmanship. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, employers’ liability, and professional liability if applicable; certificates are due within 10 working days after notice of award rather than with the proposal.
