Description
The City of Claremont Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals for one new, current-production, heavy-duty deck-over equipment trailer for transporting municipal construction and highway-maintenance equipment. The trailer must have a minimum 26,000-pound GVWR and 20,000-pound payload capacity, a minimum 102-inch deck width, steel frame, five-foot beavertail, oak decking or approved equal, adjustable pintle ring hitch, tandem axles, air brakes on both axles, dual wheels, spring-assisted loading ramps, LED lighting, and required safety equipment. It must be fully assembled, inspected, and ready for service upon delivery. Proposals must include detailed specifications, itemized pricing, an estimated delivery schedule, warranty documentation, and a description of deviations from the specifications. The proposal sheet requests the model year, total price, anticipated delivery date, and deviations. The trailer must include at least a three-year manufacturer's warranty or the manufacturer's standard warranty, with coverage for the frame, suspension, wiring, and structural components. Recommended mission-critical options must be priced separately; no trade-in will be accepted. Manuals, warranty documents, and registration paperwork are to be provided upon delivery.
