The Town of Searsport seeks qualified consultants to evaluate nature-based and hybrid solutions for protecting three vulnerable waterfront sites—Mosman Park and two municipally owned sewage pump stations—from coastal erosion, flooding, sea-level rise, and increasingly severe storms. The work includes vulnerability assessments, conceptual shoreline stabilization designs, cost estimates, and implementation recommendations aligned with Maine climate-resilience goals. The selected consultant will also support community outreach, conduct educational workshops for coastal property owners, and present the findings publicly. The Town encourages multidisciplinary teams with expertise in coastal resilience, engineering, planning, and landscape architecture. Proposals will be evaluated based on qualifications, understanding of project issues, methodology, responsiveness, and cost.
