NOTICE FOR BIDS The Desoto Parish Police Jury will receive sealed and electronic bids until 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2026, for the purchase of Heavy Equipment for the Solid Waste Department. Specifications may be obtained from the Desoto Parish Police Jury Office or accessed electronically at www.bidexpress.com. Landfill Compactor-Waste Handler All bids must be submitted either electronically through bidexpress.com or delivered in person to the Desoto Parish Police Jury Office, 101 Franklin Street, Mansfield, Louisiana, and received no later than the date and time listed above. DeSoto Parish Police Jury is soliciting bids for one new CAT 836 landfill compactor or equivalent for municipal solid waste landfill operations. The machine must be a new, standard-production model meeting detailed performance specifications, including minimum operating weight and power requirements, landfill-specific compaction wheels and guarding, diesel powertrain, hydraulic and cooling systems, landfill blade options, ROPS/FOPS cab, safety equipment, telematics, GNSS RTK mapping, and a 270-degree vision camera system. Bids must include freight and delivery, current manufacturer specifications and literature, warranty information, configuration documentation, a completed vendor compliance matrix, and any exceptions identified on a separate sheet. The successful vendor must provide dealer support, parts availability, operator orientation, service support, and authorized dealer service. The equipment must be delivered fully assembled and operational within 60 days of award, with a minimum 12-month full-machine warranty and a minimum 60-month or 10,000-hour powertrain and hydraulic warranty.
