Description
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is requesting proposals for the deployment, operation, and maintenance of public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program. This initiative aims to expand public EV charging capacity, focusing on locations along designated alternative fuel corridors and areas with a high density of multi-family buildings or limited access to private overnight charging. Projects will involve installing Level 2 and/or DC fast charging (DCFC) stations in publicly accessible locations such as public buildings, schools, parks, or privately managed sites serving local communities. Selected vendors will be responsible for procuring all necessary professional services, construction, and project management to install these charging stations. Key requirements include a minimum of four charging ports per site, adherence to specific power delivery standards, and a minimum five-year operation and maintenance obligation with at least 97.00% uptime. Proposals should detail the project budget, technical specifications, and a plan for community benefit and accessibility. The maximum federal cost share is 80% of eligible costs, with a 20% match from non-federal sources.
