Description
The City of Pacifica is soliciting a contractor for Phase 1A rehabilitation and improvement of the headworks at the Calera Creek Water Recycling Plant. The work includes installing a 24-inch tie-in with a blind flange and concrete thrust block on an existing 36-inch wastewater influent pipeline, backfilling the excavation, and procuring and delivering one 24-inch and one 36-inch eccentric plug valve. The project also requires excavation, temporary dewatering and pumping, shoring, installation of steel plates, hydrophilic waterstop, and galvanized chain-link fencing within the headworks channel. Bidders must possess a valid California Class A contractor license, attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting, submit bid security equal to 10 percent of the maximum bid, and provide qualification, non-collusion, proposed subcontractor, and DIR registration documentation. The selected contractor will be required to complete the work within 40 calendar days for substantial completion and 90 days for final payment readiness.
