Description
The City of Los Angeles Department of Fire and Police Pensions is soliciting a contractor to provide catering for its Financial Planning Education Seminars, generally held 20–25 times per year for approximately 40–100 attendees. Services include developing menus accommodating varied dietary preferences and allergies; preparing and serving a light continental breakfast, full lunch, and beverages; staffing each event; supplying necessary dishes, glasses, utensils, linens, serving and transport equipment, and related materials; and operating with or without an on-site kitchen. The contractor must comply with California food-safety laws and facility rules, properly store food, bus and remove rental and food-related equipment, clean kitchens and event areas, and remove event trash. Proposers must demonstrate at least three years of relevant catering experience, provide three recent client references, answer the proposal questionnaire, submit a three-year per-person fee structure, provide a Business Continuity Plan or equivalent contingency information, and complete the required City Ethics Commission forms. The contract term is three years from the effective date of final signatures and approvals.
