Description
Western Carolina University is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive campus dining services. The scope includes exclusive operation of residential and retail dining, convenience stores, coffee shops, catering, camps and conferences, athletic concessions, and snack vending, along with food, supplies, labor, management, meal-plan support, menus, staffing, marketing, technology, cleaning and sanitation, financial reporting, sustainability, and quality-assurance programs. The contractor will also manage approved third-party food concepts and vendors, mobile ordering and payment platforms, point-of-sale interfaces, and applicable alcohol licensing and service. Proposals require separate technical and financial submissions addressing the University's specified requirements, including comparable account references, meal plans and concepts, menus, catering, staffing and management, transition planning, quality assurance, financial monitoring, information technology, sustainability, health and wellness, marketing, special services, proposed upgrades, operating pro forma, capital investment, overhead, sensitivity analysis, purchase rebates, and management fees. The solicitation states that the current vendor is Aramark, Inc., whose contract ends June 30, 2027, and that the University may award a new agreement with a potential ten-year term.
