Description
Keller Independent School District is soliciting proposals for one or more options covering installation of district-owned, self-provisioned single-mode fiber; fully managed third-party WAN circuits; Category One network equipment; and ongoing maintenance and operations for the district’s existing fiber network. Proposed WAN services must provide at least 10 Gbps per circuit, scalable to 100 Gbps, with specified availability, latency, jitter, packet-loss, monitoring, outage-response, testing, and service-credit requirements. The self-provisioned option requires at least six fiber strands, special construction, route documentation, installation, certification, and testing. The solicitation covers multiple district facilities and permits proposals for individual options or combinations of options, including a vendor-recommended solution. The initial contract term for third-party-network or vendor-recommended services is ten years, with up to ten one-year extensions. Vendors must hold a valid Service Provider Identification Number, attend one of the mandatory walkthroughs, submit pricing through the district pricing sheet, provide three relevant references, and comply with E-Rate, insurance, testing, documentation, and federal-funding requirements.
