Description
The Government is conducting market research to identify sources with the expertise, capabilities, and experience required to qualify and produce a Valve Assembly, Directional Pilot and Pressure Switch (DPV), NSN 4820-01-554-6411UC, part number 320522-17, for the C-5 aircraft. The component converts an electrical signal into a pneumatic air signal to control the direction of the central drive unit. The notice states that Honeywell International Inc. owns the drawings and data rights and has licensed them to Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing. The Government does not possess releasable technical data, and Ontic is identified as the only known source with the technical data and capabilities needed to produce a compatible item and maintain applicable engine warranties and guarantees. Interested parties are asked to identify their interest and capability; this is a sources-sought market research notice, not a request for proposal or a commitment to award a contract.
