The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is soliciting bids for two overhauled Pratt & Whitney PT6A-21 or PT6A-28 free-turbine turboprop engines for use in a Beechcraft King Air 65-A90-1 operated by the Mosquito Control Department. Engines must comply with applicable Federal Aviation Administration requirements and be overhauled in accordance with Pratt & Whitney's current overhaul manual, with zero hours since major overhaul and hot-section inspection. Each engine must meet specified life-limited-parts cycle requirements and include new engine logbooks and all required FAA documentation. The bid price must include delivery and freight, with delivery required within three weeks after issuance of the purchase order. Bidders must provide warranty information, including comprehensive coverage through the applicable Pratt & Whitney Canada time-between-overhaul interval or ten years after delivery, whichever occurs first, and submit current manufacturer literature. Bids are restricted to established manufacturers or authorized dealers, and a current insurance certificate must accompany the bid.
