Description
James City County is soliciting a turnkey contractor to renovate and restore the Chickahominy Riverfront Pool. Work includes removing and replacing the pool interior surface, waterline and depth-marker tiles, coping, embedded ladders, staircase railing, and main drain covers; inspecting and repairing the pool shell and circulation and drainage components; and modifying or reconstructing the main entry staircase to meet accessibility codes. The contractor must install new coping, commercial-grade pool plaster or interior surface material, compliant drain covers, depth-marker and "NO DIVING" tiles, aluminum ladders, and an ADA-compliant railing or handrail system. The scope also includes pool startup, initial water chemistry, 30 days of chemistry maintenance and documentation, cleanup, closeout records, warranties, and maintenance information. Work must be completed within 160 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A Virginia license is required, and a qualified site supervisor with at least three years of similar experience must be on site throughout the work.
