Description
The Regional Transportation District is soliciting proposals for a turnkey lease of radial tires for its owned and operated transit buses, together with comprehensive tire services. The scope includes supplying and maintaining tires across multiple bus types and tire sizes; mounting, dismounting, balancing, retorquing, repairing punctures and flats, inspecting tires and wheels, maintaining spare inventories, handling tire distribution and storage, providing service equipment and supplies, and disposing of unusable and waste tires in compliance with applicable regulations. Pricing is based on tire mileage rates plus a fixed service charge, with no additional charges for specified routine costs. The contractor must provide trained personnel, quality assurance, fuel-efficiency and tire-performance information, a service start-up plan, retread process information, tire disposal methods, and recent comparable tire-lease references. The contract is anticipated to begin January 1, 2027, with a one-year base period and four one-year options. Required proposal materials include technical and cost proposals, open-records copies of each, organizational conflict-of-interest certification, a current W-9, key personnel information, background-investigation certification, compliance-matrix responses, and the required electronic portal certifications and acknowledgments.
