Description
Chesterfield County is soliciting construction bids for improvements at the Proctors Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Project A includes demolition of the unused Dissolved Air Flotation building; construction of a new brick-and-mortar coagulant facility for coagulant and lime slurry metering pumps and electrical equipment; outdoor bulk storage tanks with concrete containment; three coagulant injection points; yard piping, valves, duct banks, site improvements, and restoration of pavement, concrete, and grassed areas. Project B includes demolition of the existing Gravity Belt Filter Building and utilities; construction of a centrate equalization basin with pumps, filters, and related equipment; conversion of an existing basin to a de-ammonification reactor; construction of an electrical support building and micronutrient chemical feed room; installation of lime storage tanks, mixers, metering pumps, piping, and appurtenances; and associated sitework. The estimated total is $6,500,000. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled at the treatment plant, and complete bidding documents may be obtained from the engineer for a fee or requested electronically by email.
