Description
The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is soliciting bids for tree trimming, vegetation removal, brush clearance, and line-of-sight clearing along designated streetcar routes. Work includes maintaining a 4- to 5-foot clearance from power lines and overhead catenary, protecting transit infrastructure, providing traffic control and safety measures, obtaining required City of New Orleans Parks and Parkways permits, and removing and disposing of all debris. The scope covers specified portions of the St. Charles, Rampart, and Loyola streetcar lines, including the UPT Station to Rampart Street and Elysian Fields Avenue alignment and the Upperline Street to Valence Street substation area. Bidders must attend the mandatory site visit, and the selected contractor must complete the requested services within 60 calendar days of contract execution or issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The procurement is limited to eligible Small Business Enterprises under the RTA SBE Program; an SBE certification application and supporting documentation are required from businesses that are not already certified.
