Description
This Sources Sought notice is for market research regarding a potential firm-fixed-price delivery order for 50,000 pounds of brand-name Saint-Gobain Ceramics Materials alumina-zirconia blasting grit, part number MCA1360/60. The required material has a blocky shape, a true specific gravity of 4.3 grams per cubic centimeter, an average 25% grade, and a 60-grit mesh size. The material is intended for use in an existing blast-media storage and recycling system. The agency states that the specified product's grain size, ceramic composition, shape, wear resistance, and low friability improved productivity, reduced material consumption and dust generation, and is compatible with the equipment. The item is hazardous material and must be shipped with the longest possible shelf life and the most current safety data sheet.
