Description
The City of Savannah seeks on-call rentals of heavy construction equipment, with and without operators, and operator services for City-owned equipment. The equipment list includes tandem and off-road dump trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators, graders, lowboy tractor-trailers, roll-off and specialty trucks, tractors, vacuum and water trucks, pipe-inspection camera trucks, and other equipment. Bidders may offer only the equipment they can provide; equipment must meet the stated capacity and capability requirements and be safe for highway operation with current DOT inspections. The work is primarily pushing, compacting, and covering refuse at the City's landfill. The contractor must respond to service requests within 12 hours and mobilize requested equipment within 36 hours, unless otherwise authorized. The solicitation describes an annual contract that may be renewed for up to four additional 12-month periods. Bids must be submitted electronically through the supplier portal, with pricing entered for each line item.
