Description
Pender Soil and Water Conservation District is soliciting sealed bids for the Dry Branch Stream Debris Removal Project under the Streamflow Rehabilitation Assistance Program (STRAP). The contractor must remove stream obstructions, including tree limbs, dislodged brush, rubbish, other debris, and trees leaning more than 45 degrees over the channel. Removed material must be properly processed and placed in accordance with the project specifications and woody-debris removal guidelines. The project covers approximately 16,000 feet of Dry Branch; this estimate is for reference only and will not determine payment or project completion. Bidders must submit a total contract price rather than a price per foot. Bidders must include reference letters or other documentation of prior work experience and a signed statement confirming completion of the mandatory site visit. There will be no group site showing. The awarded contractor must provide the required insurance and workers' compensation certificates before work begins, furnish a performance bond equal to the total bid, secure required permits, and complete the work within six months after the start date.
