Description
The City of Pasadena Fire Department is soliciting sealed bids for structural firefighting personal protective equipment, including turnout coats and pants, structural firefighting boots, gloves, and protective hoods. Coats and pants must comply with detailed specifications addressing NFPA 1971 certification, materials, construction, labeling, traceability, custom sizing, warranties, and manufacturer support. The specified boots, gloves, and hoods are Honeywell PRO-Series BT5007, Vanguard MK-2 Ultra Model 6877K, and BarriAire Gold Elite Pro 39708-00-194071, respectively, or approved equivalents where permitted. The awarded vendor must provide customized fittings at the delivery site, account management, exchange and repair support, maintenance-related training upon request, warranties, and delivery of coats and pants within 30 business days after receipt of order and boots, gloves, and hoods within five business days. The contract has an initial five-year term with no optional extensions, and orders will be placed as needed. Bidders must enter pricing in the electronic portal and upload the required forms, technical information, manufacturer warranties, bid security, and other checklist items. A five-percent electronic bid bond is required with the bid.
