Description
This solicitation is for the re-bid of electrical and fire alarm system upgrades, specifically Phase 2-5, at Slauson Middle School for Ann Arbor Public Schools. Bidding documents are available electronically via Building Connected, with a deadline for electronic submission by 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Bids submitted after this time will not be considered. Faxed and email proposals will not be accepted. An electronic bid opening will be conducted via Microsoft Teams meeting on July 1, 2026, beginning at approximately 1:30 p.m. Bidding documents were prepared by Quinn Evans and will be available for inspection at McCarthy & Smith, Inc., the Construction Manager, as well as other plan rooms. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. via Teams meeting, with an on-site meeting at the project site at 10:00 a.m. on the same day. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. All bids must include several appendices, including contractor information, certification, Iran Economic Sanctions disclosure, and a CHAT Sample Form. A bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount is required, payable to Ann Arbor Public Schools. The successful bidder may be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
