Description
The County of Maui is soliciting a contractor to furnish labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and construction services for improvements to Kelawea Mauka Park in Lahaina, Maui. The scope includes site clearing, demolition, grading, erosion control, concrete walkways and a playground pad, playground surfacing, accessible paths, perimeter chain-link fencing, benches, trash and recycling receptacles, a solar light, and a stand-alone shade structure. The contractor must also purchase and ship play equipment to Kahului Harbor; installation of the play equipment will be performed by others. The work includes furnishing and installing specified site furnishings and shade structures, coordinating with the community group for play-equipment installation, and planning and executing a grand opening and blessing ceremony for approximately 75 attendees. The project must be completed within 240 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit the completed proposal, bid breakdown, subcontractor list, applicable preference form, and bid security through the designated online procurement system. A bid bond or other acceptable bid security equal to at least 5% of the total bid is required.
