Description
The U.S. Air Force requires 350 brand-new M4-style trainer weapons for Basic Military Training at the 535th Training Squadron. The devices must be fully assembled, serialized, visually and ergonomically representative of the M4 platform, and permanently non-convertible, with no live-fire, projectile, or ammunition capability. They must support realistic field-strip and reassembly procedures, including the required 10-part mechanical disassembly, while remaining ATF-exempt and suitable for unrestricted trainee use without arms-room storage. The contractor must provide all manufacturing, materials, labor, packaging, transportation, and delivery. The units must withstand high-volume daily handling, drops, inspections, and manual-of-arms training; be delivered within 60 days after receipt of order; and include a standard commercial warranty of at least 12 months. The notice identifies Laser Shot, Inc. as the sole source because of its proprietary design and compatibility with the existing training inventory and curriculum. Interested parties may submit a capability statement and past-performance narrative, although the notice states that it is not a solicitation or request for quote.
