Description
The City of Murfreesboro seeks a contractor to construct an accessible path to the visitor center toilets from adjacent buildings. The work includes modifying ramps and hardscape, creating accessible parking spaces, and making minor restroom improvements, including grab bars and adjustments to existing fixtures and sink countertops. Plans and specifications also describe concrete ramp and sidewalk work, handrails, drainage modifications, parking and grading improvements, and related site work. Bidders must be licensed general contractors in Tennessee. The bid must include bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide performance and labor and material payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract sum, and meet the specified insurance requirements. The solicitation requests at least three references for similar completed projects from the past five years.
