Description
Adams County seeks a qualified general contractor to renovate and expand the Sheriff's Office headquarters lobby in an occupied building. Work includes selective demolition; relocating and reconfiguring photo and storage rooms; architectural, mechanical, and electrical modifications; new doors and finishes; and installation of a ballistic-resistant transaction window and ballistic-resistant panels. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection and dust control, waste removal, permits, insurance, and bonds, while maintaining building security and operations. Two separately priced alternates are requested: a door, frame, and hardware for the photo-room closet, and ballistic drywall on the lobby side of the wall adjacent to the reception desk and transaction window. The proposal must include a project approach and schedule, firm and team qualifications, experience and references for at least three similar projects completed within the past five years, and a separate guaranteed-maximum-price proposal using the provided pricing form. The proposal document must be a single PDF, with pricing submitted separately through the designated electronic bid system. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is required to qualify to respond. The agreement is for one year, with one optional one-year renewal.
