Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for a one-time purchase of 214 coated steel beams in seven specified sizes and quantities. The beams must comply with NCDOT, ASTM, and AASHTO requirements, use domestic steel and iron, and have all manufacturing and coating processes performed in the United States. The beams must be cleaned, shop-painted under the specified NCDOT coating system, inspected, and delivered fully assembled on an FOB-destination basis. Delivery is to occur within 90 consecutive calendar days after receipt of a purchase order, with delivery Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 24-hour advance notice required. The procurement is intended as a one-time agency-specific contract, with award generally based on the lowest responsive price meeting the specifications.
