Description
Howard County is soliciting a qualified contractor to supply and deliver an organic, renewable, vegetable-based, or otherwise non-petroleum oil for use as a dust suppressant and processing aid during the handling of thermally dried biosolids. The product must reduce airborne dust, be OMRI-certified, be free of hazardous contaminants and petroleum-based ingredients, remain stable during storage, and operate effectively through the County’s existing oil injection or dust suppression system without adversely affecting related equipment or biosolids quality. The County estimates approximately 30 275-gallon totes annually, with quantities ordered as needed. Deliveries must be made FOB destination within three working days after receipt of order, during regular weekday delivery hours. The agreement is for one year with five additional one-year renewal options. Bidders must submit a product-identifying SDS and current OMRI certificate with the bid; the solicitation also requires the listed County forms and an EBO participation form.
